Book #1 from the series: The Lotus Mark

The Lotus Mark: The Pink Lotus

About

Author Note:
I wrote this because the world is on fire, and I’ve spent too many night shifts stitching together its casualties. As an ER nurse, I’ve held the hands of the overdosing, the homeless, the ones society discards like broken machinery. I’ve seen how our systems—especially schools—fail to arm kids with the tools to survive, let alone thrive. Instead, they’re funneled into cycles of desperation, their potential crushed under the weight of apathy.

The Pink Lotus isn’t just a story about addiction. It’s a mirror. A brutal, unflinching one. I chose science as my weapon against ignorance, swapping scrubs for lesson plans to teach kids how to think, not just obey. But here, in these pages, I use fiction to scream the truth: no one is immune. Not the star athlete, the honor student, the quiet kid in the back row. Addiction doesn’t discriminate—it devours.

Miguel and Ethan’s world is fictional, but their pain isn’t. I’ve seen it in the trembling hands of patients, in the hollow eyes of parents who bury their children. This book is my attempt to arm the next generation with the one thing schools rarely teach—how to stare into the darkness and choose to walk away.

As for me? I’m just a tired nurse who still believes in heroes. When I’m not writing, I’m probably crafting a Nurse Trooper helmet (yes, Star Wars meets healthcare—fight me). Follow my journey for updates, cosplay chaos, and more stories that refuse to sugarcoat reality.
